Regretfully, as Apple doesn't offer a tablet- PC, I'm trying to figure out a way to give my ibook G4 "Onenote-like" functionality. I was wondering if anyone has had success with anything along these lines. I would benefit from having a tablet PC for med. school...but I really would prefer to stick with the Mac for reasons we all know.

I have not used onenote, but having a quick look at the site, as I understand it, it provides handwriting recognition.
OSX has Inkwell built in, and you could using something like a Wacom Tablet. I've not used these before, so maybe someone else can help with that.
Or if you want to go really extreme, you could try what these people did - convert/mod their ibook into a tablet:

I own a Wacom tablet-a Graphire 3 ($99, PC/Mac compatible) and one of these (or a Intuos) would be great for what you are looking to do.

Thanks for the replies, guys. Two quick questions:

1) Can you use it to mark up powerpoint slides?

and

2) As the image isn't directly on there, is it hard to coordinate what you're writing with where you want it to go on the screen?
