Prevent iMessage attachments from auto-deleting

Hi,

I'm trying to save the attachments (pictures, audio recordings, etc) on my Laptop (MBA running 10.11.1). I use iMessage on a number of devices, so it's not only impractical to hit "keep" after each thing, sometimes they don't load until I open my laptop hours (and occasionally, days) after I originally sent them.

Ideally, I'm looking for a little toggle I can hit to keep them forever (and not just the 2 minutes before they get deleted) on my laptop just like I can on my phone and iPad.
