Hi everyone,

I have a MBP on which I created a Windows partition (NTFS format) for use with a few applications that don't yet run on intel-based Macs.

I find that Spotlight will not only search the Mac HD volume, but also the Windows Volume, which can be somehwat confusing when searching for files associated with applications which are installed on both volumes (e.g. Thunderbird).

Does anyone know how to prevent Spotlight from searching a Windows partition?

Many thanks,
Carey

Tried that, but it doesn't seem to work. When I add another element to the privacy list, highlight the Windows volume, and then hit "Choose", nothing happens, and the volume is not added to the list.

thanks for the link . . . I did do a search in the forum for previous threads on this problem (figuring it had to be reasonably common), but managed to miss that one.

It doesn't help us using FAT32 though. I hosed Windows media player in windows while trying to remove all traces from my Mac partition.
Darned spotlight.
