With the complete wipe requried to isntalled iOS 5, what is the proper way to backup an entire phones contents?
Is it:
- Run a backup
- Run a sync
- install iOS 5
and if so, backups and syncs dont save apps and music, right? Or is it just music and movies that have to be re-dragged over.
Also - if I have no plans to use iCloud or whatever, will I need to make sure my contacts are sync'd and updated on my computer first?
This seems like an overly complex process with lots of places where someone would overlook a step and have pretty serious information loss.
