You leave you iMac with Apple for Service?

It's too late but I was just curious if there's a way for locking your files so they can't copy/transfer.

The Yellow Bar Flasing I've been seeing may be defected Video Card and/or Display, I was told it would take like a week.

Encrypt them and throw away the key? Generally, if you can read 'em you can copy 'em. There might be a way to do it with file permissions and the like, but I don't know that much about that stuff so I couldn't tell you.
