I updated my Mac to Mountain Lion OSX and now my "Preview" program is different. I have Googled how to add hyperlinks to the PDF and my annotations pull down tool bar does not have "add link."

Please, help I am so frustrated. BTW - The doc was originally made in Word and I tried saving it as a PDF with the hyperlinks already in the Word doc and they did not carry over.

Links are there...But Apple was too stupid and removed the Hover.

So..I don't know why Apple has been dumbing down and removing simple functionalities we take for granted every day...but ML Preview does not allow you to have the nice hover and click to links anymore. When you do create them in Word (Save As / PDF) they are there. Just only PC users get to just click. We don't anymore unless you are using Adobe Acrobat Reader or Pro.

So...you can still send out the file out and the links will work for everyone that doesn't use Preview.

If you want to keep using Preview as your default PDF reader (although there a not many reasons to use it anymore since it's been completely stripped of most basic functionality) You can highlight the link, right click and choose what you want to do with the link. Why you would want to do anything other than GO TO THE FRIGGIN LINK....I don't know. Ask Apple to figure that one out.
