"Preview" app - No longer opening images: *Help Pls*

Hey guys

Preview app is no longer opening images for me. Giving "Unexpectedly quit" error as soon as attempt to load.

Recently just went through steps on microsoft website to clear all remaining Microsoft office data I did not need on MBP.
Think this may have deleted something necessary to boot Preview.

Any ideas?

Have you rebooted your Mac? Try booting into Safe mode, then restart normally and see if that helps.

Hesitant to boot to safe mode and would prefer not to if didn't have to

Booting to safe mode doesn't overwrite anything, or set anything to factory defaults so that you lose data or configurations. It cleans out a bunch of cruft and doesn't take any longer to boot than a normal boot. Once it is done, you simply reboot as you normally do and you're back as before.

Just to precede; I used this guide to help clear all unnecessary left over microsoft files from my computer : http://www.howtogeek.com/212650/how-to-completely-uninstall-office-2011-for-mac/

Am thinking the last step has some lasting impact on the preview application. Am I wrong?

**UPDATE** ISSUE FIXED!!!

Never realized how vital the Preview app was until I did not have use of it
