Hello,

Preview in Lion seems to be constantly reloading PDFs, e.g. whenever it's been minimised for a while and I open a new PDF. A screen grab of the relevant bit of the display is attached - it's a circle of grey bars with a spinning effect. Sometimes this sits there spinning away without end; the Preview menu bar item disappears, and Preview itself becomes unresponsive. At the moment all I can do is force-quit preview, and then everything opens again just fine.

As far as I can tell this isn't related to a specific file. It's happening at the moment to a file that has some attributes (viewed via "xattr -l" in the terminal). There are no symlinks or aliases involved, as far as I can tell. The file size of the current one is 239kB, and the other files that have caused problems are on the same scale (i.e. less than 1MB).

(Edit: Activity Monitor reports Preview's memory use at 4kB while this is happening, so maybe it's a sign that Preview has died for me.)

Is this something anyone has encountered/solved?

Thanks in advance.
