Preview Has Gone Missing

I noticed earlier when a screenshot turned up in ColorSync Utility rather than Preview. I searched around my computer and found that Preview had gone missing from my applications folder and won't function from my dock. I don't remember deleting anything today and when I do I'm careful, from past experience really.

Are there any possible reasons for this? Thanks in advance for any help.

Beats me, but you should be able to get it back using Pacifist on your OS install disk(s).
