Hi there... I'm hoping someone can help me out with this.

I've been using Preview for all of my readings for school, and I've been highlighting, drawing lines/rectangles etc. as I go along. It has worked great so far. The thing is now that I'm going back and reviewing my notes, the highlighting as all but disappeared. You can barely detect it on the first pages, and it gradually gets more noticeable the more recently it has been added. It's like it's fading...

Anyone have any idea why this might be or how I can revert back to the way it looked when I first did it? As you might imagine, it's very frustrating to go back and try to refresh your memory when all the highlighting and marks are gone

    Thanks!!

I figured out how to fix it. If anyone else has the problem in the future you can click the "Show Annotations List" button at the top, select all of the "Highlight" annotations, and then select the colour you want them to return to.

Sorry for spamming the thread... just thought it might be helpful to post a resolution.

Here is automated temporary fix for the problem; Much better than going back rehighlighting everything. I can't believe apple has not fixed this yet. I used Preview regularly on SL to study. Now I am hesitant to do so.

Go down to read Paddy's post for the Python code to fix the problem; Page 2 has information on how to create the file. I hope this helps. Please report the problem to apple so it can be fixed.
