Can someone tell me why the "Text Tool" and "Annotate" options in "Preview" in Leopard are grayed out ?

Thanks for your help.

I took a quick look and it seems that those tools can't be used with image files. Open up a PDF file with Preview and then you will be able to use them.

I hope it's ok to post my question in here as well (since I didn't want to open a thread for a little question like mine).

Is preview in leopard capable of scrolling through pictures in a folder via the navigation bar when I open just one picture of that particular folder? (like in xee)

Thank you for the information. I suppose I was hoping to use "Preview" as a simple, always-available image editor. It does include some functions that can be used for editing images.

I rarely use PDFs unless I receive one over the Internet.

Thanks again.
