So, recently I previewed some pictures and PDF's in preview, but somehow it seems like I can't close them again. Everytime I try to close they do simply not disappear. Is there someway to reset preview or just close these files without formatting and installing OSX again? Please help me.

    Best regards,
    Lentz

What happens when you try to close them? I assume you're clicking the red button in the top left corner, or using Cmd-W.

It does quit, but as I open preview again the files shows up again. And yes I am trying to close these files by using the red ball.

In System Preferences > General, check "Close windows when quitting an application."
