Preview stop working

Preview crashed and now it cannot open anything. It happened to me once and a friend of mine sent me his copy of the app and it solved the problem.

Is there any way to fix it, I have OS 10.3.9

Repair disk permissions.
If that doesn't work do a search for "com.apple.preview.plist" trash that file.
Then log out'n in.
