Preview will not open document all the way. Leaves illustrations blank.

I'm trying to open a Briggs & Stratton service manual.

The text will load but not the illustrations.

I took a screen shot showing Figure 1 being blank.

E D I T : I downloaded a different PDF reader called "PDFgear" Same issue with that PDF reader also.

There have certainly been bugs in the past where Preview/PDFKit won't display some images in PDFs.

I don't know if PDFgear uses PDFKit or not; but apps that definitely don't are Foxit Reader and of course Adobe's own Acrobat Reader.

However, if you have a PDF viewer that uses a different PDF rendering engine (i.e. not MacOS's own PDFKit), then the PDF is likely malformed or not compliant with the spec.

How about posting a link to the pdf file you're having problems with, so that others can see it and "have a crack at it" ???

The file was from a forum member over at OPEF.

I have the service manual, but it loads without the illustrations. I think it's corrupted or something. The part# for the manual is 276781. ThankYou !
