Preview won't save rotated files as rotated

I open an jpg or png file in preview, I rotate it and click 'actual size,' then save. The size is saved, the rotation is not. Any suggestions?

OS X 10.4.11
Preview 3.0.9

Thanks, Mr. Doe 57. That's what I did — rotated in photoshop, then modified the file info so they'd still open with preview. Cumbersome, but it works.

...and I did search this forum for 'Preview,' finding nothing relevant. Seems you did a wider search — thanks.

Yeah, that's a pain. Glad you got it working though!

In Preview, after you've rotated the image, you can use the File > Export functionality to create a NEW file with the rotation saved in the file.
