Previewing Animated GIFs?

Hello,

Preview 3.0.8 seems to have no problem looking at each individual frame of he animated GIF, but just won't play it. Apple's support website alludes to a play button of some sort?

Open it using QuickTime. 🙂

Yep, just open it in a browser...

If you use QuickTime you can pause and scrub between frames.
