After using it for playing with it for some time now I think I kinda feels the Screen is very iPhone X / Xs size rather than Max. Am I the only thinking I want a bigger Xr.

The viewable screen is more narrow than the plus making the keyboard slightly smaller. Also, videos in landscape that are still 16:9 are slightly smaller on the XR. Most won’t care about or notice this but it bugged me. Text is displayed smaller as well. For me, the Max is my preferred size.

I can't vote as my suggestion doesn't apply. I think I'd be happier if the phone was wider and less long. I don't like the narrowing of the screen compared to plus phones, you have actually lost a lot of the screen when watching videos due to the narrowness, and the notch, and the bezels. I little wider would be perfect I think.

I went from a 7+ to a Pixel 2 XL and now the XR. I love the smaller form factor with more screen real estate. And it feels so good in the hand. Perfectly balanced for me. I have small hands and when I stretch to reach the far side of the screen I don't feel like I'm going to drop it. I can actually text one handed. Not fast but I can do it. My previous two devices if I tried that it would feel like it was going to fall forward out of my hand.

I went from a 7 Plus to an X to now an Xs Max. I loved the display size of the 7 Plus and whilst I loved the features of the X like virtually no bezels and Face ID amongst others I didn’t like the display ratio. I was happy when they released the Xs Max as it gives me the best of both worlds. A larger better proportioned display but virtually no bezel and Face ID. I also love the stereo and better sound quality of the Xs Max.

The XR display area is only 1 sq. inch larger than the Xs. The Max is 3 sq. inches larger.

Compared to the Plus, the XR is smaller for video but displays more text at once. Does it feel small? No, it just feels different. Plus users would be disappointed with the Xs.

I just started using my XR, coming from a 8+ and so far I’m ehhhh about the phone. While the speed is great, I’m not liking the display aspect. Everything seems more stretched. I do like the size of the phone and it’s a bit smaller, but over all I think I prefer the 8 plus. I’m the minority that actually liked the bezels on the iPhone and rather that than this notch on top.

No issues here, I like that the XR isn't as wide- makes it much easier hold. I enjoy LCD screens more as well.

It's all personal preference though- if you have an Apple Store (or electronics store) nearby you should check out the display models.

coming from an iphone 8+ plus, I find the Xr a tad too narrow, with similar SETTINGS the text just seems to be squished from left to right. It's taller, great but I like that little tiny bit of extra fuller page reading view. It also is thicker, tiny amount mind you but I can feel it. It also just overall FEELs heavier even though the difference is very minimal.

If only they could have made the Xr same overall screen width, more height (which it has) and maintained the thickness of the 8+ or thinner even it would be pretty perfect. Not really sure why they didn't/couldn't other than protect Xs share. They SAY it's a bit thicker because of the screen, but the 8+ has a similar screen technology and it's overall thinner.

In the end, I'll stick with the 8+ another year. I DO prefer/enjoy the full screen UI experience though and wonder why couldn't we get that in a software update as an option?

The Max was exactly what I was looking for, the XR would not have been in favor for me. As someone who graduated from having the Plus model iPhones for years, the Max of was the only logical choice that would have met my expectations, the XR would have felt too small for me.

I went from a 6S Plus to the XR. For me, the screen isn't wide enough and the aspect ratio feels weird. I've decided to return it and ordered a XS Max instead. I'm pretty sure I'll be happy with that one.

Tough to say. I think the XR is a good size. But it’s an upgrade that would be more targeted for 6/6s/7/8 users due to the ppi on the screen. For those users it’s too big. For 6/6s/7/8 plus users, the size of the XR is fine but the screen quality isn’t as good, in my opinion. Some don’t like OLED displays so the XR is the only choice currently if you want Face ID and the latest design from Apple.

I like the overall phone size a LOT. The screen is definitely different because it’s more rectangular instead of more square. I don’t watch videos often on my phone, so it doesn’t really affect me greatly, and there are so many other positives for me that I am just not worried about that.

I actually love the feel of the XS in hand as well, but just couldn’t see myself going quite that small. I’ve had every + phone since the 6.

I tried the Max, but couldn’t deal with the OLED (headaches/eye strain). I didn’t have a problem with the size of the Max, but I honestly am happy to be a little smaller.

Oh and I LOVE the thickness - I just feel like I have a better overall fit in my hand. My hands are small, and with my Loopy case, I can use my XR completely one-handed if needed.

I had/have a 7+ as my work phone and used it as my only phone for the last year. Finally decided to get my own personal phone again. I used to be a big android fan but in the last couple of years between buying into the Apple ecosystem with a Macbook, Apple TV and my work phone I wanted to stick with iPhone.

I went with the XR due to it being a little bigger than the XS and I appreciate the smaller size of the XR compared to the + sized phones. I am not a display junkie and don't sit and watch videos on my phone unless in a pinch. Even though the phone is smaller than + size models (not including the max) I fell there is close enough to the same screen real estate as before but in a smaller package. It is a little narrower for typing but I am getting used to it pretty quick.

This is exactly how I felt about the X. I loved the new design, Face ID and the build quality. It was just too small coming from the plus sized phones. I’m much happier with the Xs max.

Small? The thing's so big you need to buy an extra seat when travelling by plane.

I guess its all relative but I have the X, and have been using it a ton in the past year.

But also been using my 7 plus on iOS 12 which i paired with watch series 4 since my X is on iOS 11 jailbroken

Went from 7 plus to XR, and I dont feel the screen is at all too small personally.
