price drop AU?

    Will Au have the same price drop as the US with the iphone 3g? as right now the iphone 3g 8gb is still like $AUD700+

    and can you get unlocked legit any where in AU?

    Save opening anther post with the iphone 3g s how much do you think it will be to get unlocked or as prepaid the smallest gb one.

    Europe has so far only had price increases for higher end models, and no change on the 3G, so I'd be surprised.

    Oh okay well you would think it would drop here as our AUD to USD is better.

    I believe Optus will unlock the iPhone when you buy it. It should be on the Optus website. I'm pretty sure they'll do it with the iPhone 3GS.
    But I don't see why, as all major telcos in Australia will now be selling the 3GS.

    ea but vodafone do not sell a prepaid iphone 3g so they will most likely not for the g3s :(

    Oh ok. Well definitely suss out if Optus will sell you the iPhone 3GS unlocked.

    I found this on the Optus website. Not sure if you've found out about unlocking in Australia.
