I have an Apple Watch Series 0. There are a few scuffs and Siri isn't working on it. I took it to Apple and they said they could probably fix it if I spent $199. I upgraded to a Series 3. Someone at work was interested. I offered a price of $70, since Siri isn't working, he want to pay me like $35. I think he is low balling. They only thing that doesn't work is Siri other than that the watch works perfectly.

is $35 a fair offer or is this just a low ball offer?

I certainly wouldn't spend $200 to repair it. But you should be at least able to profit $70 at minimum. I think $35 is way too low, assuming its in Average condition.

I traded in my Series 0 rose gold sport watch at Best Buy for $85 last month.

Why doesn’t Siri work? If its hardware related, its scrap and should be recycled. Not worth the cost of repairing.

Not sure why with Siri, took it to Genius Bar and they couldn't figure it out either. But it is out of warranty so $199 to send into Apple. Not really worth repairing but for $35, it is worth it for me to keep it just for the spare charger alone.

Yea I had a lot of interest on OfferUp for my original Apple Watch, was very very pleased to get $100 cash for it (no eBay fees etc.)! - these things certainly hold their value

Good to know. I think Best Buy's $85 is the best, quickest, safest bet. I'd rather get $15-20 less for my watch by not having to deal with individuals.

BestBuy may make you give up your original band and charger - managed to sell just the core and keep everything else, which was important for me, love my original band.

If I went this route, I would hope to sell only the watch and not the band. I have a 42mm SBSS with the Link Bracelet, The band alone is probably worth a lot more than $85.

When the link bracelets first launched and they were selling on third-party sites, they were selling for almost the full retail value rather quickly. But once third-party vendors released their version of link bands that are fairly similar in terms of appeal and hardware to Apples, it really hurt the OEM link bracelet value. I think the OEM link bracelet is a nice piece of hardware, but some of these third-party link bands are very comparable and difficult to distinguish between the two.

I got $100 for each of mine. They were in perfect condition, included charger and original box, documents.

I'd suggest cleaning it up and gifting it off to a younger family member or such (who already has an iphone, obvs. :))

Putting it in a drawer so it can rot away isn't doing anyone much good...

IDK, considering you basically have alerts on your wrist that you can't respond to without siri, I wouldn't consider it worth more than $35 to me. but that's because I'd want to get it working. Without siri (I assume this means all voice input?) I'd rather just have a fitbit. Just my opinion, of course.

Yep, I always give my apple watches to a less fortunate family member. I have done it twice already.

that $85 is based on an original aluminum with sports band. im sure yours
Would unpairing the Apple Watch and re-pairing it do the trick?

or setup as new.

unless the mic hardware is broken, a repair or setup as new should fix every non-hardware issue.

That is the price I got for the SS as well. It doesn't carry any sort of premium with the trade in offers. It was actually $83 for the SS with a white sports band.

Doesn't reinstall or restore the software tho. Will help try and fix the issue but you can't force a reinstall of the WatchOS like you can on iOS devices.
