Are you using an iOS 8 beta?
Perhaps try to log out/in.
Try to download via main family sharing device?

No not using iOS 8 beta, waiting for public. Seems that only for beta testers :/ thought that also coud be download for non beta testers :) anyways thanks ;D
Using Enpass allmost same as 1Password and desktop versions Mac, Windows are free :)

People have got the update?

I think it was a mistake, it wasn't supposed to be free.

If you had it already, obviously the update was free.

It's not appearing in the UK App Store yet, the update.

Once I discovered you have to use their browser, I lost interest in 1Password. I'll download it and snoop around to see what it's about. Thanks.

Interesting, I wonder why Macrumors dropped the story then? (seems like iDownloadBlog did the same thing)

Probably because exploiting someone's mistake like this is just a little bit wrong?

By all means take your freebie if you must, but encouraging a mass pile-on is pretty low.

I'm on iOS7 and managed to download it on my phone about 10mins ago.

I was going to ignore this thread but the OP's comment "if AgileBits Inc is this careless..." has annoyed me. Firstly, capitalising on an honest mistake is slimey and, in my view, wrong. Implying that this honest mistake somehow reflects the quality of their crytpo skills is idiotic. Seriously, they're a great bunch of developers and offer an excellent, cross-platform, product.

I don't think there is a new version out yet, it's just the existing version is now free for new customers.

"In a now deleted tweet, AgileBits stated that the app is being offered for free due to an App Store error, and will go back to regular price once iOS 8 is released tomorrow."

But do you not agree that if AgileBits can make an "honest mistake" and give/leak their own product away for free, they COULD make an "honest mistake" and give/leak other data too...?

Do you not think if a restaurant's bathroom is dirty - the kitchen might also be dirty?

The majority of Macrumors front page is based on "honest mistakes" e.g. Part leaks.

1password is downloadable on iOS for free. Today only.
Macrumors announced this news, however have now dropped the story.

AgileBits Inc reportedly dropped the price in an error, and the price with revert back to the original with ISO 8

(If AgileBits Inc is this careless with their own app pricing, do you really trust them with some of your most sensitive data?)

I use minikeepass. I chose it because when I checked its source code is open for anyone to inspect so experts can see if it does indeed do what it says it does and doesn't include any backdoors etc. 1password does not allow the same scrutiny.

That's probably why it's free right now.

According to the tweet that AgileBits posted it's simply a price mistake. Plus the fact that Macrumors & iDownloadBlog took down their stories of it I'm inclined to believe that.

I'll stick with LastPass, especially now they have Safari extensions and Touch ID support.

AgileBits doesn't store any data.
