Seriously, this is insane! $4 for TWO medium sized tomatoes. For all of the money I spent to make tacos, I could have just went to Taco Bell.

What do tomatoes cost in your parts?
 
Any where from .99 cents a pound and up. It depends on the type of tomato, or where their from. This is in Fayetteville Ga.

Road side stands can be cheaper too.
 
$4 is around £2

I'm in New Jersey, the effing "Garden State" -- I want to know where the hell all my cheap produce went.
 
If you have a garden — or even a small balcony you can grow your own.

Seriosuly you just need good sun… and you'll have a glut.

And they are dead easy to grow. 🙂
Although admittedly you are a bit late for this year's season.

probably has to do with where you live, the whole infected tomato thing and the size
