Apple is VERY strict about their Price Protection policy. I bought a new G5 (dual 2.5) with a 30" Cinema Display. I received the display on December 24th... and when the price drops came JUST outside of my Price Protection Window, I talked to Apple to see what they could do...condsidering the very large purchase I just made. Their response was "Sorry, our policy clearly states...blah, blah, blah"...
Just be warned, and ALWAYS wait to buy until after some show, or announcement, etc... and NEVER before the end of a fiscal quarter.
