He has been told that the first week of June all Verizon Corporate stores will get a significant allocation of iPhone X’s. And to expect a very substantial price drop. Not a promotion price but price drop. In the neighborhood of 175-200 dollars. News about the 8 and 8+ next week. That’s what I was told when I payed my bill today. I hope it’s true. If so iPhone X’s for me my wife and my son.

Why are you upgrading? What's wrong with your 256GB 7 Plus?

Nothing, I just have wanted a X since they were released. And my 7 Plus is payed for. So I might as well. You only live once. Lol

Price drop makes zero sense. Last time Apple did that for the first-generation iPhone they had to reimburse owners $100. Maybe promotional pricing (they sell most phones via financing anyway), but there’s no way it’ll be a straight price drop.

The rumor is Verizon Corporate stores will drop the price, not Apple. Such a rumor is conceivable, as Verizon may be looking to clear out some inventory to make room for the new models coming a few months later.

Price drop seems logical for sometime in the summer as they clear inventory for Gen 2.

They gave the $100 credit Becuase they dropped the price of the phone barely a month after launched. This will be 9+ after the X launches. So it’s not a big deal.
