I mean, it wasn’t a waste if you enjoyed it. And hey, they’re not super pricey like phones so of course a 5 year old smart watch is not going to be purchased by anyone.

I'm not sure how much I enjoyed it. I used it solely to measure my steps when jogging. Could have done that with a fitbit. It cost $530. That's a fair amount of money here in Ireland.

I sold the original AW on eBay last month. It was 38/aluminum. Sold it for $70. Upgrading to the 5 next month.

Try eBay if you can. It will sell!

Did you do the evaluation through Apple's site? They always offer a lot less than you can actually get. I've seen sales on DBA (local site for selling used) at 10x the prices offered by Apple's thing (on iMacs in this case)

You might still be able to get a bit, but don't expect much when a Series 3 can be had for so little now.

Personally, my Apple Watch is the piece of technology I own I enjoy the most, and I have a good few things. It's just so delightful I think.

I just sold my S3 LTE in preparation for S5 and now I'm back to use my original S0 watch which surprisingly find it's still be able to do many things. What a great watch! If it has Always On I'd continue to use it as a watch until battery dies, maybe another 4-5 years.

My Suunto died after only 4 years btw.

Strange. Because the First Gen watches are showing _some_ value on local used websites. Obviously condition plays a role.
