    Starting prices:

    iPhone Xr - $749
    iPhone Xs - $999
    iPhone Xs Max - $1099

All rumors and opinions were pointing towards $100 less per phone. I'm really surprised to see these starting price points especially for the Xs and Xs Max.

It's giving me pause on purchasing the Xs Max. $1100 is a lot.

Agreed. Simply not worth it. Android is looking more attractive.

My prediction was right on. Those who thought it would be cheaper....no reason to be. To add insult to injury for the detractors, 64GB still the base config.

Based on these prices, it's safe to assume the 512GB Xs Max will cost $1399 before tax, crazy stuff.

Yeah. Was thinking of going back to iOS with a larger iPhone X being available. Sticking with my Pixel 2 for now. I'll then decide between the Pixel 3 or the OnePlus 6T with their in-screen fingerprint sensor (oh and that OnePlus 6T will probably only be $550-$600).

    Oof.. No thanks Apple.

Yeah, I was thinking of getting a Max as well. I guess I'll reconsider. After all it's just a phone.

Yeah, the price is a big hurdle for me. I just can't justify a $1000 camera regardless of the OS or starting storage. I'm not faulting anyone who will buy one. If you can afford it go for it, but I will probably stick with my iPhone 7+ for another year.

I'm a bit disappointed that the XS did not go down to $899 because that means it's going to be the same 1049€ price as the iPhone X here in Finland. The interesting thing will be if the iPhone X goes down as it's now been on "sale" for 999€ which isn't that great. At least on the used market the X will probably be a decent buy.

"The new iPhone is too expensive.", every release year ever. Personally, I won't be buying new but rather second hand. My 550€ 7 Plus 256GB (from December 2017) was so much value for money, I can't justify going for a 1000€+ phone anymore. But hey, they'll sell well anyway.

So does this mean, the XSM will cost $1399 for 512GB? ($1099 64GB, $1149 256GB) With CA sales tax $1507. Yikes! I will still order one. It's time for an upgrade.

I predicted the XSM 256GB will cost $1149 as the X 256GB was priced at. I guess $1399 is no surprise if the jump from 256 to 512 is $150.

EDIT: YIKES!!!!!!!!! Apple just refreshed their site $1449 for XSM 512GB - $1561.30 (w/ tax)

Yeah I would have gone with the XS Max if it was $100 cheaper...now I’m leaning toward the XR.

$100 too much still. I was expecting the standard XS to be at $899, the XS Max to be at $999 and the XR to be at $699.

Really love the S versions though, just a shame the prices are so obscene.

The prices, ouch. I was just on the line of getting a sMax, 256GB. I just can't though. My launch 7+ will have to go a couple more years I guess, maybe longer lol.

They may have finally priced themselves out of my market.
