While I think it was out of line. If by the name of the school, they are a religiously affiliated school, I can see the name on the front and the phrase on the back being an issue of sorts for those types of schools because of the associations, etc. And the last thing the principal wants in a backlash from parents over their school being represented like that.

I agree with you on this one, it sounds to me like he is going on a power trip.I don't see how can force the team to give them to the school, when the school didn't pay for them.

Umm the school didn't pay from them. It is thus not for the school to decide.

This is a no brainer, keep the shirts and make a big stink about this to the local paper, the next PTA meeting, whatever else (digg.com that usually gets results).

Maybe he was cut from Police college??
