found it!

I don't know if it's been discovered or not, I didn't read through...
I'm running XP on my Mac for an IT class.. and she asked us to do a screen shot..
After about 2 minutes of wondering how the crap I could do it.. I remembered the on screen keyboard =]
it has a print screen button on it above the arrows "PSC"

hope this helped..

solution

I found many websites that gave all sorts of differnet key combinations for printing the screen if you have windows on a new macbook including some saying pressing F13/14 when my macbook pro only goes as far as F12.
Anyways i finally found what worked for me and i didnt need to download a print screen program like some others sugested either

hope this helps others like it did me :D

Print Screen - Windows Native

I think your asking how to do a print screen when running windows natively, and i have found shift+fn+F11 (adding alt makes it the current window only) in vista.
whish is that is in the little picture in the post before mine but this will get captured by search engines.

Print Screen Keys Stopped Working after upgrading boot camp

Alt + F14 worked to do a print screen until I installed Boot Camp 2.1
I was using 2.0. Now even if I remove boot camp and reinstall 2.0 my keys will not regain functionality. I have uninstalled all the drivers from add/remove programs and installed Boot Camp 2.0 again but still have had no success. Does anyone have any ideas how I can regain key functionality? System Restore is turned off by the way, ugh!

i was looking for a solution to this problem as well. It occured to me that there is a on screen keyboard built in to win xp. go to start, all programs accessories, accessability, then on screen keyboard. the prc key will print screen then you can just open paint or w/e and paste it.

xp on Mac Book Pro: print screen

To screen capture the entire screen displayed on the monitor for Mac Book Pro with XP installed, which does not have an F13 key, do the following:
<Shift> <Fn> <F11>

This is equivolent to the "Print Screen" button on a windows Keyboard.

Note: This is for a MacBook Pro Core2Duo purchased Feb 2009, installed with XP sp3.

Sensory overload

Now I am totally lost. Anyone care to make a simple chart:

Windows Vista MacBook capture whole screen press _____
Windows Vista MacBook capture active window press _____
Windows XP MacBook capture whole screen press _____
Windows XP MacBook capture active window press _____
