I got the HV20 so I could print to tape and store it in high quality until I get an hd burner, but I'm having some issues with exporting to tape...

1. FCP 5 doesn't even allow me to import my footage, so I used iMovie 08 (which was a pain because I couldn't stop the automatic scene breaks) but I worked around it, imported to FCP, then edited.

2. When I try to print to video with FCP it says "The sequence is not compatible with HDV Print to Video. bummer.

3. So I open up iMovie 08, only to find out you CANT print to video with it (after 30 minutes of importing the footage).

4. I download iMovie 06 because it allows you to print to video... but when I try, it says "Cannot Export to Camera, Your FireWire camera is not powered on or is not available. This also can happen if you added or removed a device from FireWire. Please try again."

Any suggestions? I had to settle with exporting this to standard DVD.

Have you double checked to make sure all of your settings (both on the camera and on the computer) are correct?
