printable gift certificate OR itunes gift cards

so i simply want to add $20.00 to my online itunes account . Yet, because im always traveling i couldnt pick an itunes gift card up. would the "printable itunes gift certificate" work instead ?? do they just email me the code? has anyone tried?

difference between itunes printable gift certificate and itunes gift cards?
