HPs are well known for not picking up paper!

Their rubber rollers wear out and you need replace them, or like most places just place a bit of thin card between the plastic shaft and rubber coating to compensate for the wear.

our work HP laser, CP2025 has been done twice like this!

More ram in a printer is good for bigger print runs and multiple page scans in the feeder.
Faster CPU might make the touch screen menus work faster but other than that most users not really notice any gains.

Hope your new HP works out good for you.
They are usually good machines, I don't see many in for repair in my workshop.
Hope that's a good sign!
