Im a new convert to macs, so Im still learning. I have my hp psc1350 up and printing and also wireless from my imac and my wifes laptop. But how do I get this to scan documents. Ive downloaded the latest software drivers from hp and I cant figure out what Im doing wrong. Any suggestions.

I read somewhere (another forum) that you cannot scan with wireless. Print and copy, yes, but scan uses some different form of interface technology that I don't begin to understand. If I'm wrong, or that info has been superseded, someone will correct me. Meantime, can you hard-wire your HP to your Mac?

You didn't say whether you'd tried this, so I apologize if this is an obvious suggestion. I have an older HP PSC and the way I scan is by pressing the Scan button on the top of the printer. I don't use wireless printing so I don't know if it will work that way, but when I have my printer connected via USB I press the scan button and then my computer automatically opens the scanner output software.

well I will have to plug into my usb and see if that works, that could be the answer. It worked with my old dell so I knew it would scan, but I wasnt running wireless either.

Unless the all in one specifically states it will do wireless scanning (and you'll know it via the price tag) you won't be able to do it wirelessly (has something to do with twain driver and hardware/software).

You'll have to hook it up temporarily for scanning. This is what we do at our house.
