Just about to install my Canon iP4500 onto my new iMac, for the first time. Is it better to plug it in & then instal the software or instal software & then plug in? I never know wich to do first!

I have the disc, its version M 1.0. it doesnt mension on the disc, weather thats mac/windows. Is it best to download the latest version? bit of a no brainer really I suppose!

Just plug in the printer and turn it on and set it up if it's wireless. Then got to printer settings and add the printer. If it's supported by Apple then it will have all the drivers you need and will update everything with Software Update and you'll be set. That's how it was with my Epson.
