Printer Problem

Not sure that this problem is with my Mac or not, but suddenly my printer stopped printing and a window opens that says that the printer is "off line". I unplugged the printer and rebooted the computer and re-plugged the printer in thinking that might cure the problem, but same message came up "printer off line". The printer shows up in the finder and I am at a loss as to a possible cure without having to buy a new printer. Any suggestions would be appreciated.😕
 
Corrected

Well I kept playing with this problem and finally put the usb cable directly into the computer rather than the usb hub that it had been plugged into and I am not sure why but all of a sudden it was back to working. I swear I checked to make sure the connection was secure, but hey I won't argue with success.🙂
