ok guys sorry for all these threads, but as you can see im "noob" with macs, im just got my mac on friday, i have three dekstops to which connects to oneprinter which is attached to on of those three computers, via router, when i had my gateway laptop i could printer wirelessy through my router, as long as the comptuer which was physically conneted to the printer via usb was on, now i googled this problem on how to connect a macbook to a printer (hp) which is connected to a windows based computer (windows xp pro, sp2) and i know im doing things correct i can see the printer under the drop down network neighborhood name Name:mshome Comment: workgroup ---> then then comes up Name: Ymahmood comment: Ymahmood then comes up Connect to printer Ymahmood as Name:_____________ Password:_________
the username would be me, and the password i have made for the mac ok, now i see the printer!! Name:Hp Comment:hp ok ive added the printer yaay!!! but now watch ready to print a test document... Connection failed with error NT_STATUS_BAD_NETWORK_NAME after 2 mins or so it sas "Unable to connecti to SAMBA host, will try in 60 seconds....ERROR: Connection failed with eror.!!! WTH IS THAT SUPPOSE TO MEAN, I would greatly appreciate some help.... i heard of a program by cups but i duno really.....
