Hi,

Is there anyway to print a test page on my printer in OS X just to see if the cartridges have enough ink left in them?

Probably. Look in the manual. There could even be a display of the amount in each cartridge.
 
There was a display of how much ink was left in the cartridges until I had them refilled at cartridge world.

Now theres just a question mark there.
