Printing powerpoint handouts?

I've tried on both keynote and microsoft powerpoint for mac to print out pp handouts (3 to a sheet), but can't see how to do it??? 😕

I'm near an Apple store on Monday so will go ask them then, but any pointers in the meantime?
I'm a mac novice (but long time windows user - so not completely computer illiterate, lol) so if it's too complicated to explain, just let me know and I'll leave it until next week.
