iPhone Privacy- Location Services

I don’t get it.

I have the Nespresso app installed and it’s location service is set to only when the app is in use.

The app wasn’t loaded in the background and still the app invited me to get a cup of coffee when I got close to the store...

How’s this possible?!

Ah never mind.
My Apple Watch says the notification comes from the Wallet app. Not the Nespresso one
