Private/Public photo album on shared computer

Advice needed, please. Let's say you have a shared computer for you and your girlfriend; there are older photos from before this relationship and this bothers her; there is one external hard disc where everything is backed up ...

How do you set this up on your computer?
/home/me - my old photos
/home/her - her stuff
/home/Shared - photos taken together
?

What about indexing and backing things up to a safe hard disc? How do you handle this?

Tell her to get over it. I keep photos of old girlfriends because i still remain friends with them... if you GF can't tolerate pics of friends on YOUR computer, tell her to take a hike.

Hold option down while clicking on iphoto. It will allow you to create a new iphoto library. You can have as many as you want. You can store the second or third library any place you like. Just remember iphoto will open what ever library you last opened.
