I was thinking the same thing. 1st world problems....No disrespect, but in light of current events happening, COVID in India/Asia, unrest in Myanmar, atrocities against the Uihgurs, etc it seems ridiculous to lament something as trivial as “this $1,000+ Smartphone is too heavy and makes my jeans drop…” SMH.
Because you can like something overall, but still have specific issues with it.
I don't think that's nearly the same thing. An iPhone is heavy and he asked for tips to live with it. Not sure how anyone could provide any specific tips here. It is what it is, and no one in this thread is able to do something about it. There are other options that address that specific concern but unfortunately it's a trade off as you'll miss the size or some of the camera features.100% agreed. It annoys me when people give knee-jerk responses.
Person A: "I wish the new iMac had more ports"
Person B: "Apple computers aren't for you. Buy a Windows machine and shut up."
LOL!
I agree. I have a 11 Pro Max. Fully accept its gonna be heavier in exchange for the bigger screen, but hate that glass back. It's like putting a slice of lead on the the phone. And it's a whole other side that can shatter. I would give up wireless charging for an Aluminium back that's lighter and more durable. As someone who owns a 12 Pro Max… I also wish it was lighter. If they made a “12 Max” with aluminum sides I would buy it immediately.

And BTW, I am no fanboy or anything, I would be found dead before using a Mac, and I do not even own an iPhone 12 model as I found no compelling reason to upgrade from my 11 Pro Max. But realistically the OP has two options: Buy another phone (including other iPhone 12 models) or learn to live with it, which might include exercising so it doesn't seem as heavy or wearing the belt tighter. Not sure what else can anyone advise to the OP.

The 12 max dragged my pants a bit. I could always tell where it was and yes I do lift weights! lol so I’m not some weakling.I want to exchange my android phone to iphone mainly because it is so heavy, then I find out Pro Max is around exactly same weight. It is so heavy that it makes my jean drops and I need to wait belt just because of the phone.

Some believe (not necessarily the user that made the comment) that anything less than total happiness with an Apple product means you shouldn't own it.
I get it. I wasn't implying you felt that way based on your past reply to me. Note the parenthesis where I said "not necessarily the user that made the comment". I was even trying to avoid naming you.I certainly wasn’t suggesting that anyone has to be 100% happy or don’t own it. I have lots of problems with Apple products, even though I own several of them.
My comments may seem a bit... aggressive... I just really don’t know what the OP wanted from this. Other people have been creative in trying to provide thoughtful responses. It would help me if the OP could provide a little more context to the conversation. Otherwise I can just say “yeah, it’d be nice if the phone was lighter. But it’s not. So...” \_(ツ)_/¯
Wow haven’t seen a phone stuck to a hip in awhile other than the elderly men in my area. Silly look imoYou wear a belt, or even better, wear a belt and use a holster. Keeps all that sweat and lint off the phone too 👍

If you don't want to do either of those things, then I guess you'll have to look for a different phone or go around with "Pants on the Ground" playing as your theme song 😉

What are you getting on about with the police and fire. kinda different. But whateverWell, at 37 years of age, I guess I look like a "silly old man" to you (actually used holsters in my 20s too). Police and military have all sorts of things connected to their belt. I guess you think that's a "silly old man" look to you too. You do it because it's practical - not a fashion statement. I've carried my phone both in my pocket and with a holster. Holster is by far more comfortable and keeps the phone away from sweat and lint (I'm very active). Do what works for you, but when someone is complaining the phone is causing their pants to fall down, I think that's far more silly than using a holster.
This was one reasons I preferred the 6+ over the 6s+. It was heavier. I like the solid feel of a heavier phone in my hand. The weight of my 11 Pro Max, which is similar to the 12 Pro Max, feels just fine to me.Maybe I’m weird, but I like the fact that the 12pm is heavy. Kind of adds a heft to it, and gives the impression of quality.
light phones to me seem cheap and toy like

Kinda like Fanny packs. Way out of style. And silly looking
btw. I’m 51.
