Just curious - has anyone gone the opposite way and gone from a Pro Max to a Pro?

I'm thinking of getting the 15 Pro and this would be my first time with a smaller screen since iPhone 6 (when the plus sized phones were introduced).

I think I'd be fine personally as screen size doesn't bother me, but has anyone else done this and what was your experience like?

I went from a 6s Plus (there was no max or pro then) to a smaller 11 Pro. I really preferred the form factor of the 11 Pro and was delighted with the change all around.

However, I then upgraded to the 12 Pro Max for the better zoom capabilities and while I prefer a smaller form factor, that tradeoff was worth it to me.

Since the 15 Pro Max will once again have better cameras than the Peo, I’ll be opting it for when I upgrade this month.

I have the iPhone 13 Pro Max and will be getting the 15 Pro. Just too large for what I want.....

I started with a 14 Pro this year and later switched to a 14 Pro Max. The screen is great, but overall the phone is a little too big and heavy for me. I'm probably going back to a 15 Pro this year. The Pro has the same size print but gets a little less on the page. I don't watch videos on the phone so that isn't an issue for me.

I went 13 Pro Max to 14 Pro to 14 Pro Max. I wanted to downsize to a smaller device but to me the Pro felt heavy. The Pro seems like a small device (compared to the Pro Max) so in my mind it should be light, but it isn’t. The Pro Max feels lighter to me since it’s a bigger device and it’s able to spread the weight across the larger device better. Since the rumors suggest the devices should be lighter this year it shouldn’t be a concern. I did consider going Pro this year but with my past experience I’ll just go Pro Max.

I had the 13 pro, and then 14 pro max. I am also thinking of going back to a smaller pro. It just fits better in my purses, wallets etc. YouTube videos, which I watch a lot of, are better of course on the pro max, but when I’m at home I use my iPads, not my phone.

You are right, the pro’s are all heavy. The 13 pro still weighed my pockets down on loose shorts, they would start to fall down.😆

I have the 14 pro now I think I’m going to make the switch to the 15 promax. I really like the bigger screen not too concerned about the weight! And the bigger battery will be a plus also.

I tried it with the 12. It was okay, but I missed the larger screen size and so I went back to the pro max for the 13 and I don’t think I’ll ever go back again.

Currently on the 11 pro max. I’ve really enjoyed the battery life and screen size over the years, but will be upgrading to a regular iPhone 15 pro this year. The 11 PM is slightly too big and heavy for me, and the latest max iPhones are even larger, so no chance I’ll be lugging one of those around.
