You know it is first beta, right?
I was on 12.1 official release when I recorded that. I am now on 12.2 and no improvements for me. and yes, I do know its a beta, but also this thread says "its perfect now" and people who have said they're still having issues were told something must be wrong with their eyes.

I'll reiterate: the point of my post was that maybe it is fixed for some people, but for others it might still be a massive issue. overall I don't know what to do. trying to work on what is often behaving 20hz display is getting so painful I don't know if I should be returning it. its *objectively* worse than my 2018 machine. which cannot be right.

Haven't noticed others experiencing the same trouble you're having, though, which goes way beyond scrolling that isn't smooth. Offhand I'd guess you're having some other software-related issue.

I won't be getting the beta just to try smoother scrolling, but I do hope we are finally making progress. Sounds like we are, once the official update is out, we'll know for sure : )

Sorry, somehow I missread as 12.2 in your first post. I have to say is is valid complain. As others have mentined I think that it is some software or issue with your specific setup? Have yu tried other browser or clean install of macOS?

when I go to ufo hz test it still says 60 hz . But it also says 60hz on my iPhone 13 pro max . Any other sites state that safari is running at 120 hz?
