Pro Thinner than Air?

I realize this doesn’t matter to many PRO users, but as a ‘Pro’ user who travels a lot, I was curious how the new Air compared to the Pro in thickness.


I was surprised to find that the Pro (both 13 & 15) is noticeably thinner than the Air. Is this common knowledge, or am I just getting up to speed? I’m honestly surprised.

Air = 15.6mm
Pro 13 = 14.9mm
Pro 15 =15.5mm

Anybody else surprised?

Isn’t that measured at the thickest point? I think the Air is wedge shaped while the Pro is not - this is what made the previous Air feel less clunky than the Pros

Correct. It is funny that the Pro is slimmer "in some way".

Yep, I guess all that tapering meant having to fit quite a lot on one half of the laptop, making it a tad thicker.
