Just discovered this while exporting video and not being able to close down Pinnacle Studio, if you initiate spotlight search with the keyboard and then drag an app icon - you can drop it right into multitasking! Pretty awesome!

The blurred background will give you an indicator if you are dropping it on the left or right side by darkening that side - it is really freaking sweet!!!

This is great. I expect this means you can also swipe down slightly from top of the screen to invoke spotlight and use drag and drop for multitasking. I think this will be very handy.

I can’t easily post a video (too much personal info on widgets etc.) but I can confirm that this currently works like it did in DP1 which, unfortunately, is sporadically and unstable. Most of the time icons can’t be dragged out of spotlight and sometimes when they can they just crash springboard. I have high hopes for this in later betas and final though as it solves a lot of the “how do I multitask an app not on my dock?” challenges by saving a visit to the home screen.

Okay, this is pretty exciting. I'm still hoping they add a Spotlight search bar to Mission Control to make it more obvious, but this is good news nevertheless!

I think it’s coming. I’ll definitely be very disappointed if it doesn’t happen because it’s efficent as any desktop launcher if it does. Type a couple of letter, drag and boom, multitaskiing.

Thanks for sharing. I really hope they bring back spotlight search and Siri suggestions when swiping down from top of screen whilst in an app as I don't have a keyboard. Apparently spotlight search has been removed from notification centre as well and it is only in the today widgets section.

Yea Spotlight absolutely needs added for touch only users!

Nice! Have you had the same issues I've had with Ferrite not being able to successfully output/export rendered audio on the iOS 11 betas? Trying to decide if it's worth waiting on the beta on my iPad ^^ (again, after DP1 had Ferrite issues on my iPad Mini 2)
I did initially my original workaround was doing an internal export to a mono file and then exporting the audio. I now have been able to export normally without any issues.
