Hi all -

I'm curious to see how many video/film professionals we have on the boards, and what genres and kit they work with.

So, if all video pros could state where they work, what area of video/film they work in, the kit they use, job title, etc. then maybe we can get together a pool of knowledge, and contacts!!

I'll kick us off:

Location: Midlands, England
Genre: Corporate Video Production
Job title: Assistant Producer
What I actually do:Shoot, edit/post, produce, direct a little, and make the odd cup of tea 🙂
Kit: DSR250/500/570's, edit on PC's running Premier Pro (and the rest of CS2)/Matrox RTX100/Magic Bullet/MisFire. None of it is actually mine though 🙂
Biggest achievement so far: Producing a 30-min promo/documentary. I now have massive respect for any producer - it's difficult!
Biggest mistake/worry:After about a week on the job, I sat in with a client making changes to a film I didn't know, using a suite I'd never worked in, using software I was unfamiliar with. And the client was in a rush. I've never sweated so much in my life.

Location: Taiwan, but will be back to Bracknell/London area soon...
Genre: Corporate, Music Video, Documentary, Weddings... whatever comes my way...
Job title: Editor
What I actually do: Right now, filming and editing podcasts
Kit: Canon HV20, MacbookPro 4GbRAM, 4x500Gb WD MyBook Pro's, Final Cut Studio 6
Biggest achievement so far: Gaining over 500+ subscribers to my podcasts and editing a music video for an up and coming artists on London based 'Sunday Best' record label
Biggest mistake/worry: Biggest worry... Coming back to UK in a few months and starving to death without a job! Which is why I'm happy to network here, there and anywhere!
