Hey Katie. Might I suggest Office 365 Student for you? This includes the full, installed Office experience on up to 2 PCs, Macs, or tablets (including iPad® and Android™ tablet) and 2 phones. It also includes 1TB of OneDrive storage. The cost is 79.99 but it's good for 4 years.Okay I'm going to get in on Saturday, now I need help with which version of Office to get! I have Office 2008 on my Mac right now and would like to know if it's worth the money to upgrade to 2016? Then there is the matter of Office 365 personal or Microsoft Office for Mac which have all of the same applications am I right? They just have a huge price difference.
Edit: Will it be easy to put onto a USB so I can install on the new machine?
Go for the MacBook Pro Retina, it's more adaptable.
Hey Katie. I work for Microsoft. Might I suggest Office 365 Student for you? This would allow you to install Office for Mac 2016 applications, or if you ever decide to join the dark side(Windows), you can install the PC apps.
Let me know if you have any further questions. Please note that while I may work for Microsoft, my views and opinions do not represent Microsoft.
The rMBP is a more powerful machine then what I need. All I'm going to be doing is school work, surfing the web, & netflixSo I'll save myself some money and go ahead and get an Air, plus it'll be more portable. thanks everyone for your options.
