So yeah tried iOS 7, just for curiosity and check more or less what everything has changed. Just for a day.

I noticed a big overheat of the iPhone 5, and I was sure that downgrading to iOS 6.1.4, but it still overheats now!
I tried to configure the device as new, reset, update and nothing.. now it overheats on iOS 6.1.4 too.. Yeah the weather doesn't help but still it never overheat before the update to iOS 7..

Any solutions?

Did you have 6.1.4 before you tried ios7 or 6.1.3. I noticed after upgrading to 6.1.4 my phone heats up a lot

try to do clean install of 6.1.4 and check if it still overheat on the default settings (no apps installed, etc).
