I have just bought a macbook pro 5.5 and I have installed ubuntu.

When I try to boot my leopard this kernel panic appear:

Code:
panic(cpu 0 caller 0x2ac8d5): "Incompatible boot args version 1 revision 4\n"0/SourceCaches/xnu/xnu-1456.1.25/osfmk/i386/AT386/nodul_dmp.c:542

Any idea?

Thanks!

There have been a few posts about people having trouble with Ubuntu installations, so you might have a look through those for some help. (I couldn't find the thread I had in mind, but a search will turn up a few.)

I would really like to see a solution to using GRUB 2 (1.97 beta) to boot Mac OS X. I have been trying to find a solution various places, but most are using third-party programs that seem redundant and overly-complicated. Has no one had any success booting Mac OS X from GRUB 2? It isn't an issue for me having Mac OS on GPT or MBR... I am willing to do either.

Possible solution

Grub 2 automatically detects other OS's, including my own SL partition. However, it wasn't until I followed those steps that I was able to boot in SL again. Huzzah!
