I'm successfully running 10.9.2 flawlessly on my MacPro1,1 and ATI6870 using tiamo's boot.efi and manual manipulation of PlatformSupport.plist etc. It's been great to finally dump my old multi-drive Chameleon boot scheme.

However, when I went to produce bootable install media on a spare FireWire drive I had hanging around, the drive will successfully boot into the Mavericks installer but then gives this error in the logs during the install preflight process:

pkgdmg is missing a footer
pkgdmg validation has failed
Stopped operation queue with Error Domain=IAErrorDomain Code=101 "This copy of the Install OS X Mavericks.app application can't be verified.

Of course, the Installer UI announces that the installation has been tampered with (duh!) 😀 Some element of the Install Assistant code seems to be throwing this error but I can't track it down for formulate a workaround. Not sure which package or .dmg is failing to verify.

I noticed that tobyg had this problem at one time also. Has anyone else seen this problem or found a workaround for it?

Thanks in advance,
Steve
