Sometime ago I made a .iso backup of my retail Snow Leopard disc, using Brasero utility on my Linux desktop. Since I need a dual layer burner I transferred the .iso file to my Macbook, but Disk Utility says that it can't burn it to disc because it's "not recognized".

I was able to convert it to .dmg and burn it to disc, but discovered that the resulting disc is only 100MB, not 4,294,967,295 bytes, as it should be.

If someone could shove me in the right direction- I'd appreciate it. ;)

If you still have the Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard DVD, use Disk Utility to make a copy of it, as your copy seems to be corrupted, because "4,294,967,295" bytes will fit on a single layer DVD and as far as I can remember, the DMG I made of my Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard DVD is bigger than 6 GB, probably 7 GB.

Thanks for your reply I was suspecting as much...will try again. ;)
