Well I jumped on to my ibook today, and decided suddenly that everything had too much of a blue tint to it, so I jump over to the display prefpane and went over to colors, and clicked calibrate so I could mess with some stuff. Much to my surprise, I was greeted with the following error message:

Could not calibrate the display

The factory profile for the display could not be found.

I'm going out on a limb, but that sounds kinda seriously bad to me 😱 .
Any ideas?

What a coincidence... that just happened to me also for the very first time 2 days ago. I had just plugged in an external monitor to my TiBook and doing screen spanning, and I could calibrate the monitor but not the internal display. My TiBook crashed shortly afterwards which I thought was the fault of me overclocking the GPU with ATIccelerator, so I rebooted, turned off the overclocking and I have no idea what happened, but I didn't get the error anymore. So try rebooting.

Hey. Whadayaknow. Rebooting did the trick. Glad that turned out to be simple. 😎

Thanks alex_ant 🙂
